Fireplace blower installation in Utah County

Get more heat into the room with a blower kit. A gas fireplace throws heat, but a lot of it stays in the firebox and on the face of the unit. A blower pulls air across the heated surfaces and pushes it into the room. If your fireplace is warm to the touch and the room is still cool, this is often the missing piece.

I add blowers to gas fireplaces that have room for one, and I replace blowers that have gotten loud, weak, or dead. A noisy blower is usually a motor bearing on its way out. A dead one might be the motor, the snap disc that turns it on when the fireplace is hot, or a switch that was left off. I'll figure out which before I sell you a fan you don't need.

A photo of the fireplace helps more than a brand name. I need to see the lower compartment, where a blower would sit, and whether there's already a fan, a switch, or just empty space. Some units were built with room for a blower. Some weren't, and forcing a fan in there is a bad idea. If you can also get a photo of the rating plate, usually inside the lower panel or on a tag behind the glass, send that too. Between those photos I can usually tell you on the phone whether a blower makes sense, and what I'll bring.

Not every fireplace can. Some older inserts have no knockout and no room under the firebox. If that's yours, I'll say so. I'd rather tell you no than force a fan into a cabinet that will overheat or rattle.

The visit itself is the lower compartment: power, the snap disc, the switch or rheostat, and the fan. I test it through a heat cycle so we both hear it come on when it should, not just spin when I jumper it. If the fireplace also needs a tune-up, we can do both on the same trip. Ask when you call.
